I attended last night “Traffic” call where Doug Champigny interviewed Ross Goldberg. If you had not noticed before, traffic generation is rapidly changing. All this was confirmed last night.
Google’s ongoing strategy has a lot to do with it. Clearly Google algorithms are changing, that is and will remain an ongoing process. But in spite of the many Google unknowns, there are still clear indications where traffic generation is heading too.
There are no single factors anymore to get consistent high rankings in Google. Getting hundreds of links back to your site is not that important anymore. To be more diverse in your SEO appears now much more appreciated by Google.
Website Traffic Generation remains the number one requirement for your financial success on the Internet. List building needs traffic. Sales needs traffic. Traffic can be generated multiple ways. More then ever there are more traffic strategies to be used. Optimizing your traffic generations efforts for your special “niche” becomes more important.
Traffic generation methods are changing and expanding. It is no longer just a matter of back links, keyword rich contents, etc. It becomes more a matter of Google’s appreciation of your website in general to get better ranked.
Website Traffic Generation Efforts should be more diverse. Are you promoting your website with Web 2.0 tools? Are you doing video, podcast and article submissions? Are you already setup to promote your website through the major Social Marketing Sites like MySpace, LinkedIn, FaceBook, Squido, Twitter and YouTube? Have you noticed how well US president-elect Barack Obama worked the Internet and web 2.0 tools? How much campaign contributions he received through the websites? If engineered properly, the web 2.0 instruments can open up wholly new and potential avenues for the promotion of your brand, your website – something that Obama maneuvered with classic élan.

I also attended the “Traffic” call where Doug Champigny interviewed Ross Goldberg. It was a good call.
I agree that Traffic generation methods are changing and expanding. In fact it’s getting harder and harder to keep up
with what to do and how to do it.
Before long we won’t be able to get traffic for learning how to
get traffic.
